Poured Back Into Me

The love I felt during my Emmaus Walk is hard to put into words.

After everything I have been through — everything in my life that wore me down, everything that tried to convince me I was too far gone to be loved like this — it felt like every act of unconditional love I had poured out over my 29 years of following Jesus was being poured back into me.

Love I had given, even when I was hurting.
Love I had poured out, even when I felt worn down.
Love I kept offering when nobody was offering it back.

During my Emmaus Walk, I found myself surrounded by that same love. People who owed me nothing loved me like Jesus does — freely, fully, without keeping score. And through every hug, every prayer, every act of kindness, I felt Jesus Himself loving me. Not for what I could do. Not for who I used to be. Just loving me because I am His.

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?” — Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)

I feel like I have leveled up in my walk with Jesus. The desire I already had for my Lord was fueled by the Holy Spirit, making it even stronger. I want more of Him — to know Him more deeply, walk more closely with Him, and follow wherever He leads. Wherever. He has never once led me wrong.

Thank You, Jesus, for pouring into me. Keep molding me. Keep drawing me closer. If this is what the new thing feels like, I don’t want to miss a single step of it.

My heart is open to what You have next.
